Otterbox Utility Latch - offers some versatility to a ruggedized iPad which will hopefully survive feature film production

The one thing that is missing from all ruggedized iPad cases (namely the Griffin Survivor and Otterbox Defender) is a utility loop of some kind to attach or fix the iPad case to walls, stands, etc. Enter the Otterbox Utility Latch - I've been wanting to get this for a long time. This thing attaches to the back of your iPad (in my case my iPad in a Griffin Survivor case) and now you have 4 points of utility loops and a handle to connect or mount with. There have been reports that the straps that hold the iPad in place are prone to slipping off but since I'm using the Griffin Survivor case, which seems bulkier that the Otterbox Defender case, it actually holds the iPad very snug. I'm planning to fit the loops with quick-release buckles that I can snap onto and off of a shoulder strap so that I can access my iPad without pulling in and out of a case. Most of the time my ideas of using tech in the field don't work but when they do, it's magic! Correction, it's Movie Magic! Correction again, it's Moviemaking Magic!
