My brother in law seems to like escargot (which I always like to point out is basically the same thing as your everyday garden snail) but I'm not too big a fan. Not that I think it tastes bad (it basically tastes like garlic and buttered baked mushrooms) but being a student of biology teaches you of the many pitfalls that can be associated with snails - namely parasites. Of course my hypocrisy knows no bounds and I enjoy sashimi without thinking of parasites at all. This dish looks like a snail burger to me...
