Looks like Facebook Chat Heads is now built into the Android FB/Messenger without the need to install the Facebook Home launcher (ultimately I don't want my phone to be a dedicated FB device). I kind of like how the chat bubble hovers above other applications - convenient to chat while browsing links, photos, etc.
