Went to Happy Family Vege restaurant in Costa Mesa and was pleasantly surprised. Had the corn soup (Minami's favorite), lettuce cups (nice and crispy), crispy fried shiitake mushrooms (nice texture and sweetness), smoked tofu skin (yuba, my favorite), braised tofu & egg plant, kung pao beef (beef is actually dried tofu), & pineapple fried rice. All vegetarian but I wasn't missing meat at all. But I did notice that the dishes became less about the ingredients and more about the sauces.
