Sidney Lumet

After a whirlwind tour of premieres in Japan for the film TAKAMINE (I did the cinematography), I was sad to read news of director Sidney Lumet's passing. Admittedly I haven't seen most of his greatest movies but his book "Making Movies" had a large impact on how I view filmmaking today - a very actor centric approach of nurturing talent.
