Along The Road

I really liked John Hillcoat's film THE PROPOSITION and fell into Cormac McCarthy's novel THE ROAD. But while there's much to like about Hillcoat's film adaptation of THE ROAD there seems to be some elements in the novel that just don't quite translate to the film. That inner monologue of the father and the fact that novels have the luxury of biding its time with the characters are things that the film struggle to capture.
