Shakira in the a House

So I wish I had pictures of the last shoot I lit with Shakira at the Henson sound studios but things moved so fast that I didn't get a chance and I didn't think it'd be cool of me. Shakira was very in control - she knew what she wanted but maybe not necesarily how to achieve it. As soon as she commented that she liked a lot light in her hair I started building more lights for her highlights and sure enough it was a good idea. I'm not one to get all weirded around celebrities but Shakira's got move that just defy anatomy and physiology. I was suprized at how small she looked in person but make no mistake she was in charge. But it was great to meet her and shake her hand. The Henson Studio was a real cool place to hang - very quiet with a sense of seclusion despite being located in the middle of LA. Plenty of trees around to block out the surrounding coldness of concrete.
