WTF

I thought my Tissot Touch Titanium watch just needed a battery change but it turns out it's busted. I've only had the thing for 4 years and it cost me $800. Now they're telling me they want to replace my watch with a current model for $500 (which retails for about $1000 but you can actually buy it new for $600). $100 savings doesn't sound like much of deal to me - I thought expensive watches were supposed to be timeless.
