Armageddon

2AM and have a lot to get to but wanted to quickly write this dream I had. Was a production assistant for a traveling TV show, much like I did here and there a few years back, where I drove a crew around to film segments on food and what not. But instead of impressing the crew on being uber prepared and knowledgeable, they were constantly on my case about not having the equipment ready and even blamed me for equipment not working. In particular they were shooting footage in a grocery store and the sound guy wanted to record sound for an interview but didn't have any of the sound equipment. So I was expected to have the sound equipment ready but of course I didn't. I run back to the car and can't find the XLR cable and get frustrated and report back that I just don't know where things are. They get all disgruntle and just hang around so I look again and all the equipment is packed with the sound mixer. I grab all that and head in and we move on but everyone is pissed at me for lagging. Then we're outside in the surf on a beach. The weather is getting a bit rough, the water a bit choppy, and we're standing in the water. At some point I'm listening to the radio and here about some country threatening to launch nuclear warheads at the US and all hell just abou to break loose and we're here shooting a TV segment about seafood or something. So again I'm expected to have had the camera prepped and ready to go but in the middle of them getting angry that I don't have the camera batteries ready, it rains sea snails... I can't remember but it rained a few other weird animals as well. We also realize the surf is getting pretty tall, so we head back in and on the way we just get pounded by waves of water. The crew just lets the equipment get soaked so I freak out that equipment will no longer work, especially after seeing the battery pack to the camera completely washing up in the sand, in the water. That's when I woke up.
